William Dodd

William Dodd, Jr. began following politics around the same time he was learning double-digit multiplication in school. At the age of nine, William had a consistent morning routine: he would wake up at 5:30, brew a cup of coffee, and turn on the local news. If he was ahead of schedule, he would try to retrieve the newspaper from the lawn without waking up his family.

Although William’s morning routine has changed (many times) over the last twelve years, his love for American politics has only grown stronger. William has worked around Capitol Hill, moderated political debates, and started a non-profit nonpartisan organization.
Two years ago, William began writing his honors senior thesis at the University of Texas at Austin. Starting with a counterintuitive way to improve the American political process, William hopes to turn this idea into a lasting and positive change.
